Claudia Becerra

Claudia Becerra earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Gender Studies from the University of California, Riverside. After graduating, she went on to work with victims of domestic violence and sexual assault as an advocate and social worker. Such work included empowering victims by doing court accompaniment, legal services advocacy, connecting them with medical and mental health services, and helping organize activities like a weekly community garden workshop. Additionally, she worked as a reproductive health educator for Planned Parenthood, where she discovered her interest in the medical field. She is currently working towards applying to nursing school, where she intends to focus on women’s health and becoming a Midwife and Women’s Health Practitioner.
