Jodi Tompkins, Psy.D.

Dr. Jodi Tompkins is a Licensed Psychologist, with a private practice in La Jolla CA, who is passionate about helping people of all ages to live well. She specializes in guiding individuals on their journey toward self-discovery and growth, while integrating heart, mind, body, and spirit to cultivate meaningful and authentic lives.

Providing valuable insight and practical tools, Dr. Tompkins supports individuals working through a variety of mental health issues including: anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, grief/loss, disordered eating, low self-esteem/lack of confidence, emotions that feel out-of-control, thoughts of hurting oneself or others, behavioral health issues. She also works with couples and families navigating challenging relational and parenting dynamics, such as adolescent and young adult transitions, sibling rivalry, co-dependency, and problematic communication and behavior patterns.

Dr. Tompkins doctoral research explored the process of identity development in emerging adults. She designed a program entitled The Identity Process which she utilizes to help individuals and small groups develop an integrated-identity and confident sense of self.  Dr. Tompkins leads groups, workshops, and retreats.
